Funding for community water and energy savings
Round 2 of the NSW Climate Change Fund Public Facilities Program has opened for applications with a new funding stream providing up to $40,000 for community organisations to make their facilities more water and energy efficient. Applications closed on Thursday 30 April 2009 for:
- Demonstration stream – funding for projects which demonstrate how water and energy savings work in practice in public or educational facilities which are open to, and frequently accessed, by the public
- Community Savers stream – funding of up to $40,000 for not-for-profit community organisations to undertake simple, low-cost water and energy saving upgrades I the facilities they use.

The Public Facilities Program provides $30 million for water and energy saving projects in facilities in NSW which are open to, and frequently accessed by, the public.
