Councils
A number of programs have been developed to support councils ensure their water use in as efficient as possible and to increase their water recycling and stormwater harvesting, including:
- Every Drop Counts Business Program
- Water Savings Action Plans
- Climate Change Fund
- Urban Sustainability Grants Scheme and Environment Trust.
Councils also have a big part to play in engaging the community in saving water. You can read about the water education campaign, which is a component of the Council Partnership Kit.
A range of programs and resources are available to support Couincils which can be accessed througjh the Water Education Resource Hub, incuding:

- professional learning
- events and networking
- research.
All 44 councils in Sydney were required to prepare Water Savings Action Plans.
