Water efficient products
To encourage the purchase of indoor water efficient devices, the Water Efficiency Labelling and Standards (WELS) Scheme has been developed. It provides information to consumers on the performance and water efficiency of appliances such as showerheads, washing machines, dishwashers, taps and toilets.
Simply by purchasing an efficient version of a product, a household can make significant water savings.
To help people make informed decisions about what products to use in the garden, a Smart Approved WaterMark scheme has been developed by industry associations, for products such as garden plants, designs and irrigation equipment.
