Water Wise Rules were introduced in June 2009 after dam storage levels had remained steady at around 60 percent for 12 months and drought restrictions wre liefted. Using water wisely, more recycling projects and desalination, along with our water supply dams, means greater Sydney's water supply is in a strong position. However, with our highly variable climate and rapidly growing population, continuing to be water wise makes good sense.
