- extend funding for practical education projects tailored for people from non-English speaking backgrounds
- continue to investigate options to ensure water efficient design of new commercial buildings and industrial facilities, and to encourage even greater water efficiency in existing homes, including working with the Federal Government to ensure the streamlined delivery of new programs in this area
- assess and approve remaining water savings actions plans
- continue the new $30 million NSW Climate Change Fund Green Business Program to save water and energy
- deliver a new $3 million farm water efficiency program
- implement a new efficient irrigation scheduling project for farmers
- release guidelines for the use of rivers and groundwater for domestic and stock water requirements for consultation in 2009
